Box 990 Ocean View, DE 19970 Welcome to the Holiday season in southern Delaware. Thanksgiving through Christmas is a busy time for both residents and visitors to southern Delaware. Most commu- nities have special Christmas celebrations planned and area shops are packed full of unique gift ideas.. In this issue, our Holiday calendar provides glimpses of the many Christmas events planned including parades, house tours, Holiday performances, carol sings, and light displays. Although the events have similar themes and names, each one is different and reflective of the individual communities and the many people who work tirelessly to produce them. Look for the Holiday calendar beginning on page 14. Southern Delaware shops offer a truly unique holiday shopping experience. We are fortunate to have such a large variety of small businesses to select that perfect gift for our friends and family. They offer personal customer service, many times from the owners themselves. Our local business owners will use your purchases to support local schools, communities and non-profits in Southern Delaware, by reinvesting them here. Our feature on page 4 offers gift sug- gestions, open houses, Holiday sales and events from area shop owners to help you get started or find that special gift.
